I don’t know about your toddler, but Rowan has a lot of toys. Like… they’re slowly taking over our house. Okay, maybe not fully taking over, but it definitely feels that way. We could add more storage, but honestly, I just don’t love the clutter. And let’s be real, Rowan always ends up playing with the same few toys anyway.
So instead of going overboard, I put together a list of Christmas gift ideas we’re actually considering for Rowan this year, plus a few toys we already own and know he truly loves.
The price point for this gift guide leans a little higher. Our goal for Christmas is to keep things simple. A few thoughtful gifts instead of a ton of little ones. I’d much rather buy one bigger gift that gets used all year. I’m also using this list as a reference for grandparents. Happy shopping!

Rowan would also like to officially approve this post in his toddler mumble. He barely left my side while I was working on it, so I’d say that counts.
LeapFrog Alphapup
Rowan loves this little pup. It sings the alphabet and helps with letter sounds, making it both fun and educational. This one is especially great for younger toddlers and is easy to toss in a bag for travel.
Magic Tracks 220-Piece Glowing Track Set
This was a birthday gift from Brady’s sister, and Rowan can watch the car zoom around the track forever. It’s one of those toys that really holds his attention.
Melissa & Doug Let’s Play House! Dust, Sweep & Mop
We don’t own this yet, but it’s high on my list. Rowan loves helping sweep, and I’m hoping having his own cleaning tools might actually help me get the floors clean. I’ve also been eyeing the toy Dyson vacuum since he’s obsessed with ours.
LeapFrog My Own Leaptop
So many friends have told me this is the toddler laptop to get. It’s also perfect for road trips, which is a big deal since we’re in the car a lot and I’m officially tired of listening to Frozen on repeat.
VTech Go! Go! Smart Wheels Ultimate Corkscrew Tower
We got this for Rowan’s birthday. It’s on the larger side, but the entire Go! Go! Smart Wheels line is a hit in our house. This one is still one of his favorite toys.
Melissa & Doug Tabletop Easel
This easel is compact and easy to store, which I really appreciate. As Rowan gets more into coloring and painting, I want him to have a dedicated space to be creative.
Kids’ Burton Riglet Snowboard
I have visions of future family snowboarding trips, and this is such a fun starter board for active toddlers. The best part is that it doesn’t require snow. It works on carpet or grass, so it can be used year-round. If a grandparent doesn’t buy this, I probably will.
Hape All-in-1 Easel
I know I already mentioned a tabletop easel, but this one is great too. It really just depends on your space and how you prefer to store art supplies.
STRIDER 12 Sport Balance Bike
There are some things I just know Rowan will love, and this bike is one of them. Plus, I’m always looking for ways to get toys outside and encourage more backyard play.

I have owned #2 and #10 and just received #4 in the mail, so this list is quality!
